Environmental Policy ACW Technology Limited is an ISO14001 registered company & is aware of the environmental issues relevant to its business and operations. Our aim is to manage our business successfully while maintaining our responsibilities towards the environment; this will be maintained through a programme of continuous improvement. ACW complies with all legislation relevant to its operations, and in considering the effect that some manufacturing processes may have on the environment, will seek alternatives that minimise harmful impacts. ACW has an active policy to reduce waste sent to landfill to a minimum by reuse and recycling of materials and by the overall reduction of waste. When choosing suppliers ACW will favour those that have the same approach to environmental issues as ourselves. ACW is committed to the prevention of pollution and to minimising the impacts of its activities on the environment, and will undertake to monitor and control levels thereof. ACW will develop
its staff training and raise personnel awareness to The involvement and commitment of the ACW Senior Management Team will ensure that adequate resources and information are available to maintain the objectives set out in this policy. This team will be responsible for reviewing the policy and the Environmental Management System annually to ensure that they are current and valid to business and environmental needs.
Ethical Policy ACW International Group of Companies ACW Group Ethical Policy Introduction The directors of ACW International consider ethical practices and corporate responsibility to be a fundamental aspect of the operations of all companies in the Group. This Ethical Policy sets out the basic principles and values that govern the Group’s business operations. The ACW Group Ethical Policy is based upon the ten principles of the United Nations Global Compact. All ACW Group companies comply with all relevant laws, regulations and standards in the countries in which they operate and shall comply with the ACW Group Ethical Policy where it stipulates a higher standard than required to meet local laws and regulations. All ACW employees and contractors shall comply with the requirements of the ACW Group Ethical Policy. ACW Group companies seek to ensure compliance with the ACW Group Ethical Policy or similar standards by its suppliers and subcontractors. Compliance with the ACW Group Ethical Policy or similar standards shall be a primary factor in the selection of suppliers.
ACW supports and respects the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights and ensures that no part of the business is complicit in human rights abuses. Labour To the extent permitted by local laws, ACW upholds the right of employees to join or not to join trade unions or similar representative organisations and recognises the right of employees to collective bargaining; The use of forced and compulsory labour is forbidden in ACW Group companies. Employees are free to leave their employment subject to reasonable notice as required by local law or contract. Employees are not required to lodge deposits of money or identity papers with their employer. ACW Group companies shall not employ any person who is below the minimum legal age for employment; in countries where the minimum legal age for employment is lower than 16 no person below the age of 16 shall be employed by ACW Group companies. Employees below the age of 18 (a child as defined in Article 1 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child) are not employed for any hazardous work or work that is inconsistent with their personal development and their best interests are given priority in matters relating to their employment. ACW employees are treated with respect and dignity. Corporal punishment, physical or verbal abuse or other unlawful harassment and any threats or other forms of intimidation are prohibited. ACW operates policies that prohibit all kinds of discrimination based on race, colour, nationality, ethnicity, social origin, gender or sexual orientation, marital or parental status, religion, political opinion, age, disability, trade union membership and any other characteristic protected by local law. ACW employees are afforded equal opportunity for employment, progression and personal development. Employees with the same qualifications, experience and performance receive equal pay for equal work with respect to comparable employees. ACW Group companies shall provide and maintain a safe and healthy working environment and operate safe and healthy working practices in accordance with international standards and relevant local laws. Environment All operations of ACW group companies comply with relevant environmental legislation. All ACW Group companies endeavour to limit the impact of their operations upon the environment and promote operational practices and technologies that help to reduce any environmental burden. Anti-corruption ACW prohibits corruption in all its forms in any aspect of its activities. No ACW Group company shall, directly or indirectly, offer, solicit or accept any undue payment or inducement with a view to obtaining or granting any kind of commercial or political advantage. Corporate Governance ACW upholds the
principles of good governance, optimised risk management Suppliers and Subcontractors ACW encourages its suppliers and subcontractors to comply with ethical standards and practices similar to those outlined in the ACW Group Ethical Policy and such compliance is a primary factor in the selection of suppliers and subcontractors. ACW Group companies shall seek written or verbal assurances from its suppliers and subcontractors regarding their compliance with appropriate ethical standards and policies and ACW reserves the right to audit suppliers and subcontractors in support of such assurances. Where a customer of an ACW Group company has specified a supplier to be used or has specified a component available only from a sole supplier and ACW has reasonable concerns regarding such supplier’s compliance with appropriate ethical standards and policies, those concerns shall be passed on to the customer.
